Neusalufta Chapter of Occoneechee Lodge #104

SR-7B

Trail Crew Award

The SR-7B Trail Crew Award was adopted by Occoneechee Lodge at LLD, and will be offered to any North Carolina Arrowman. The award was created to assist the trails in the state of North Carolina, and introduce our Arrowmen to outdoor clubs across the state. A minimum of 100 hours of trail service will earn you a back-patch chenille by giving cheerful service to what we all love - a good hiking trail.

Neusalufta Chapter is pleased to have adopted portions of the Mountains to the Sea Trail which run through our District for service. Watch for announcements of Chapter Trail Crew Service days, and help give service where everyone in our district can see the results!

The Requirements for this award:
Must be a Youth or Adult Arrowman.
Applies to the trails of North Carolina only.
A minimum of 100 man-hours of trail service must be performed. "Trail Service" is defined as flagging, construction, or maintenance. Written documentation, locations, dates and signatures will be required, and will be due to the Section Chief and Section Adviser three weeks prior to Conclave.
Hours worked on BSA property cannot be counted for trail service.
No limitation to the number of awards that can be earned. (i.e.: If an Arrowman does 300 hours of service he can apply for three awards)

You can easily record your hours that you work on your service record sheet.

Listed here are a few suggestions to help you find a trail to work on:

Contact your local city or state parks.
