    Saturday, October 28, 2000: Community Work Day at the Occaneechi Indian Village in downtown Hillsborough, NC on the Eno River, behind the Courthouse Note:  For more information call 919-732-8512, John Blackfeather, Vigil OA Lifetime Member. Open to all. Bring your own lunch.

    Saturday, November 4, 2000: The Mountains to Sea Trail (MST) of North Carolina at Falls Lake will be the site of our National One Day of Service. Open to all. Bring your own lunch.

    Saturday, June 2, 2001: National Trails Day. The chapter will work at the Mountains to Sea Trail (MST) at Falls Lake. Open to all. Bring your own lunch.

    Saturday, Sept 8, 2001: Work Day. The chapter will be holding it's annual elections this day, but afterwards join us to work at the Mountains to Sea Trail (MST) at Falls Lake. Open to all. Bring your own lunch.

    Saturday, November 3, 2001: Autumn Trail Days. Chapter workday for the Mountains to Sea Trail (MST) at Falls Lake. Open to all. Bring your own lunch.

     

    The Mountains to Sea Trail (MST) of North Carolina is an 867.8 mile trail consisting of footpaths, roads, and state bike trails.  There is lots of work that needs to be done in order to complete the trail.  If you would like more information, either contact /A> All your support will be greatly appreciated. OA members... you can earn the SR-7B Trail Service patch!     Camp Durant still Needs HELP!  As you may have heard, Camps Durant and Reeves suffered major damage during the freak snow of this spring. Much progress was made by the hundreds of Scouts and Scouters who showed up in the rain to remove fallen trees and open roads and campsites, but much remains to be done. Please help as you can.  Watch for service day announcements. 

     Duties of the Chapter Vice-Chief of Service

    1. Direct all Chapter Service projects within the Chapter.
    2. Represent the Chapter at all Lodge service functions. It is mandatory to attend all Lodge events with service (Spring Inductions, Fall Inductions, and National One Day of service.)
    3. Work with Adviser to develop projects for the Chapter to do for the Lodge, community and Occoneechee camps.
    4. Submit a report on service at each Chapter meeting.
