Chapter Operating Committees

American Indian Affairs Committee – Normally chaired by the Vice Chief of American Indian Affairs. Responsible for all Indian dance and exhibit competitions and activities of the Chapter. Responsible for promoting dancing, singing, and drumming in the Chapter. Responsible for implementing Inductions Saturday Powwows. Design a chapter Dance/Drum Team patch. Works closely with the Vice Chief of American Indian Affairs to implement his program. 

Campfire Committee – Responsible for monthly chapter programs.

Chaplains Committee – Responsible for invocation, grace, benedictions, and chapel services at Chapter events.

Conclave Committee – Coordinate Chapter participation at Quest events at Spring Powwow, suggests Chapter promotion items, and works with Lodge for chapter participation at Conclave.

Food Committee – Responsible for planning, preparation, and serving of food at Chapter events.

Founder's Award Committee – Responsible for ensuring that deserving Chapter candidates are recommended to the Lodge Committee.

Health & Safety Committee – Responsible to ensuring that adequate medical supervision is available at all Chapter events.

Ordeal & Ceremonies Committee – Normally chaired by the Vice Chief of Inductions and Ceremonies. Responsible for planning and conducting the Ordeal Inductions. Responsible for unit elections. Responsible for coordinating ceremonies by the Chapter teams. Works closely with the Vice Chief of Inductions and Ceremonies to implement his program. Works closely with the Training Committee to develop training for Election Teams, Elangomats, and Ceremonial Teams. Works closely with the Service Committee to develop service projects for Inductions. Works closely with the Lodge Vice Chief of Inductions. Subcommittees include Elections, Ceremonies and  Inductions.

Patch Committee – Responsible for the design and procurement of all Chapter patches. Responsible for developing new memorabilia items in cooperation with the Trading Post Committee.

Publications Committee – Responsible for writing, publishing, and mailing certain Chapter publications throughout the year. These publications include the chapter newsletter "Lippoe" and the Chapter Planbook. Responsible for the mailing of Inductions information to candidates.

Recognitions Committee – Responsible for awards and recognition of Chapter members. Responsible for annual Chapter Awards Banquet.

Service Committee – Normally chaired by the Vice Chief of Service. Responsible for all service by the Chapter, at Lodge or Chapter events. Works closely with the Vice Chief of Service to implement his program, and to coordinate Chapter and Lodge service efforts. Works closely with the Ordeal and Ceremonies Committee to provide tools and meaningful service projects at Inductions.

Technology Committee – Responsible for maintaining a permanent web site and keeping it updated as needed. Responsible for maintaining all Chapter email addresses and keeping Chapter hardware and software up to date.

Trading Post Committee – Responsible for operating the trading post at all Chapter events. Responsible for the purchase of all memorabilia except patches.

Training Committee – Responsible for developing Chapter Leadership Development and Elangomat Training Weekends, including developing and delivering training programs. Works closely with the Ordeal and Ceremonies Committee.

Vigil Committee – Responsible for ensuring that all deserving Chapter members are recommended for the Vigil honor.
